By using the sales of entertainment to support good causes, our artists, suppliers and partners help provide much needed funds that make a difference and improve lives. The Help Earth Foundation (HEF) is Altavoz’s social change arm. It was created with a mission to leverage artistic content to support charitable efforts at the micro level – small to midsized nonprofits and larger organizations that are working hard to make a difference in communities across the United States and the world. The foundation’s causes are picked by HEF partners or by our associated artists. HEF is the outgrowth of Tsunami BandAide, which was established to raise funds in support of the Boxer Day Tsunami relief effort in 2004. The work in bringing together entertainers and the NGO community to support that cause led to the launch of the Help Earth Foundation. Today, as a nonprofit committed to helping the earth and those that inhabit it, HEF seeks opportunities to support long-term, as well as emergency initiatives.

Developing new ways to amplify voices in crisis

Work with Work with State and World Bank to devise ways social media can be used to communicate and galvanize support during times of crisis and disaster. We start with an open-ended question: “What does the community need?” Tell us. That is the way to get people talking. Publishing interviews or personal stories of people who are being affected by crises and disasters help create a sense of responsibility to people outside of these problems. By giving a voice to the victims, a narration to pictures provided can create a story within peoples mind and inspiration can occur; an inspiration to help and contribute.

Here at Altavoz, we do good. We believe in independence and freedom to control and facilitate your own creations. Whether it be art, music, or a movie, you should be able to have a say in what happens to it. What makes Altavoz different is our commitment to making the world a better place. We work non-profits and other channel partners to develop products that are sold to help support social causes on the local, national, and global levels.

The Help Earth Foundation (HEF) was created with a mission to leverage artistic content to support charitable efforts to mid-sized nonprofits and larger organizations with local offices that are working hard to make a difference in communities across the United States. The foundation’s causes are picked by HEF partners or by our associated artists. In coordination with its for-profit arm, Altavoz Distribution, HEF manages the connection between artists, bands and labels and the local nonprofits they choose to give a portion of their proceeds.
